On 7-17-17, as I reread the story of Nehemiah, the Lord showed me a vision that will greatly encourage you! Click the video to watch the YouTube, or scroll down to read a summary.
Video Summary:
Those who follow His Inscriptions may remember that at the beginning of 2017, I released a word about the FAVOR of the Lord that was on us, specifically in the areas of FAITH, FAMILY, & FINANCES. (You can find copies of that word on our website at HisInscriptions.com, and also on our Facebook and YouTube pages for His Inscriptions.) Part of that word contained a strategy to get us through some of the challenges the enemy would present to us this year. One of those challenges is the temptation to get discouraged and give up. Some of you may already be facing this challenge: either you’re weary from doing ministry, or the finances you’d hoped for have not materialized, or the relationships you’d hoped to build with family members don’t seem to be working the way you expected. If that’s you, and you’re feeling discouraged or even depressed about your life right now, I want to encourage you to get back in the battle and fight, because God is giving us incredible promises of FAVOR right now! But we must continue to fight, or we will not inherit the things He has promised. You might be thinking to yourself, “I just can’t fight anymore. I’ve done everything I know to do, and my situation has not changed at all. I’m still here in this ‘pit’ and I’ve lost all hope of things ever changing.” I can tell you that I’ve been tempted to think that way, too, and if you yield to it, you’ll end up right back in the pit where you started. But we are not pit-dwellers; like Joseph, we are dreamers! We aren’t cave-dwellers like Elijah either, and one of our keys right now is going to be to prophesy our way out of the pits and the caves where fear has driven us, and KEEP MOVING into the fulfillment of our promises. I like the line from the country-western song my pastor referred to last week: “If you feel like you’re in hell, just keep moving!” The question is, how do you keep moving when you feel like you can’t take another step? Only recently I heard myself saying to my husband, “Honey, I just can’t go any further. I can’t do it. I’m tired. I’m weary. I don’t have any more strength to give.” And I really believed this! My husband was great: he said to me, “You CAN’T or you WON’T? Cause there’s a big difference! The Bible tells us that we an do ALL THINGS through Christ, who strengthens us. And we know that our brothers and sisters throughout the world endure far worse things than we do, on a daily basis." I realized that I had taken the enemy’s bait: I had believed the lie that I couldn’t do any more. We think we're "too old" or "too tired" or "too broke" or whatever – you fill in the blanks! But it was a lie, because I CAN. YOU CAN. Right about this time, the Lord reminded me of a word He’d given me earlier, when He said: “You must discard the faulty ways of thinking about me to take hold of Me in this season. To retain your fears is to miss My fire. To be a “burning one,” filled with My passion, you must discard all that quenches that flame. Be RUTHLESS in your quest to ignite passion for Me, and I will add the wind of My Spirit to your efforts to fan the flame.” (*Click here to read the full prophetic word.) I don’t know about you, but sometimes it’s hard to feel like a “ruthless warrior” when all you want to do is lie down! But God says that He will add the power of His Spirit to us when WE take the initiative to stir ourselves up. So I want to exhort you to stir yourself up today and get back in the fight. God isn’t done with you yet! Just as your body without the Spirit is dead, so your faith without action is dead also. As soon as I began stirring myself up in the Spirit again, God began speaking to me about Nehemiah, adding to the word He gave me at the beginning of this year. On 7-7-17, I saw a vision that I’d like to share with you now, because it applies to all of us, no matter what our situation is. I believe these words will cause you to keep fighting for what is yours in Christ. The VisionI was reading the book of Nehemiah again, and suddenly I saw Jesus standing before a table on which His covenants with us were being ratified. These covenants looked like letters, or documents, just like the letters King Artaxerxes granted to Nehemiah. But JESUS WAS SIGNING THEM WITH THE SIGNATURE OF HIS BLOOD, SHED FOR OUR DELIVERANCE. We know that the New Testament is our eternal covenant with God, and that the death of Christ and the shedding of His blood is what ratified and sealed that covenant with us. But what I saw were many letters containing SPECIFIC promises God has for each one of us, letters that represented the personal and individual application of our covenant with Him, all spread out on that table. Jesus was signing these letters with His Name, in His blood. I wondered what these were, exactly. He showed me that there are letters being written even today, letters of favor and blessing from the King of the Universe, for us. These letters are like the ones King Artaxerxes wrote for Nehemiah, when He wanted to go and rebuild Jerusalem. They are like the letters King Ahasuerus authorized Mordecai and Esther to write, to free the Jews from the enemies Haman had stirred up. I saw letters being written today: letters of favor and blessing from the King of the Universe, which grant us safe passage through ALL enemy territories, until we come to the place of our rest. I saw favor extended to us by the King’s Word, releasing chariots and horsemen to accompany and surround us on our journeys. I saw captains of the heavenly army released NOW, to provide oversight and jurisdiction ON THE WAY, throughout our journeys, no matter what provinces we travel through (whether enemy or ally). And I heard the Lord say, “For you have as much need of protection in allied territories as you do in enemy provinces, because you will always be either protecting what has been won or advancing to win it.” I saw that these letters of favor, signed in blood, are non-negotiable; treaties with other nations are entirely unnecessary, since Christ’s rule is law EVERYWHERE. I then saw angelic messengers rolling up these letters like scrolls, and tucking them into their cloaks for safekeeping as they travel alongside us. These letters are our blueprints. They are our very specific and personal plans for the future, ready and available to us, to be referred to at any time on our journeys. We have only to ask, and these plans will be opened up to us for consultation, leading to further action. I hear the Lord saying right now, “ASK! Ask Me to open the scrolls you need for this time of your life. In them is all the wisdom I have given you for your journey. BELIEVE in the immutability and irrevocability of these documents, which cannot be overruled.” I see cupbearers to the King, servants who have been so busy or absorbed serving in the Kingdom of God that they have neglected their own lands and houses, not realizing that the favor of the King they serve is available to them always to begin their own repairs and restorations. I hear the King saying again, “ASK ME! Ask Me for the release of My goodness in the earth, and I will do it, for there is no greater joy to Me than to see My servants rebuilding My temple. YOU ARE that temple, and your well-being is what I seek.” Intimacy has the courage to request miracles. If you are a son or daughter of the Kingdom, you have the permission of your King to ask for and receive what you need to overcome every enemy in your life. Next week I hope to share a little bit more about how we fight, because according to the Word of God, there is a protocol for battle, and when we follow that protocol, we win! My simple goal today is to stir you up again, to remind you of the wonderful promises God has given you, and to encourage you to stand firm in believing God for them. Disappointment occurs when we put our hope and expectation in the wrong things. We, however, hope in God, whose promises are all "Yes, and Amen!" in Christ Jesus. Do not lose hope, because when God gives us a promise and we put our hope and expectation in it, that hope does not disappoint us!
