Here is an encouraging word I received from the Lord this month for "Kingdom Creatives" - those who sing, write, dance, craft, paint, build, and worship creatively in the Kingdom of God, especially those who are venturing into new artistic endeavors. For a second, related word on creativity, click here.
Deborah
"Use the time you have to create! A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which will bear fruit, and the creative process is one means by which I draw forth your fruit. Do not quench the issues of the Holy Spirit that flow from your heart, but give them free reign and see where I lead you. For there is a difference between one who is gifted but squanders the gift, and one who is not as gifted, yet yields to Me. I can do more with a yielded heart than with a developed (but unsanctified) gift. {Tweet This!} This is why I often choose those who appear foolish to the world, or untrained, or uneducated. The humbled ones lean on Me rather than themselves. The more of Me there is in your creations, the more fruit they will bear. All the intelligence of men will be brought low in the face of My wisdom, says the Lord. Those who are squeamish about following the leadings of My Spirit now will wish they had done it in the end. Guard your heart, for it is out of your heart that life flows." January, 2016
