Give a Year End Gift
Dear Friends,
Christmas blessings to every reader of His Inscriptions! In this joyful season I am celebrating the gift of Jesus Christ!

I have been meditating on the first chapter of Ephesians, which reminds us of our hope of heaven's promised blessings, our redemption through Christ's forgiveness, our adoption as sons and daughters of a heavenly Father, and our inheritance in Him.

YOUR INHERITANCE IN GOD

Ephesians 1:11 states that believers in Christ have obtained an inheritance.

Like the gifts under your tree which are specially selected and "predestined" to be yours, so God has determined in advance that you are to have an inheritance in Him! The Holy Spirit is the seal - like the ribbons or bows, perhaps, that seal a promised gift for you!

But what is the gift? What is your inheritance? Is it mansions and glory, a pain-free life, or being reconnected with loved ones? I believe we will see all those blessings in heaven. But our inheritance is far greater than that!

The riches of our inheritance are in Him. Take a look at these beautiful scriptures:

Psalm 16:5 - "The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup."

Romans 8:17 - "...if children, then heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ."

Colossians 1:12  - "Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light."

1 Peter 1:4 - we are given new birth "into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade."

Friends, the only One who never perishes, spoils, or fades is the Eternal One, God Himself!

GOD'S INHERITANCE IN YOU

The same chapter in Ephesians says the Holy Spirit is given as a down payment on our inheritance, until the redemption of God's possession. What is God's possession? YOU ARE!

Beloved, you are the apple of God's eye! Reread these Old Testament Scriptures:

Deuteronomy 32:9 - "The Lord's portion is His people; Jacob is the allotment of His inheritance."

Psalm 33:12 - "
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance."

In the New Testament, Ephesians 1:18 reveals that the riches of God's glorious inheritance are in you:

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. ~Ephesians 1:18, NASB

RECIPROCAL BLESSINGS

Posession of an inheritance comes not by works or force but through a love relationship.

As commentator Alexander MacLaren write
s, it is impossible to truly possess someone who does not reciprocate that love. A slave owner may say he "possesses" his slave, but he will never possess him entirely, since the slave's heart has not been freely given.

In the same way, God treasures all people but possesses as an inheritance only those who freely give their hearts to Him in return. What a glorious truth!

We have been adopted into His family and now benefit from all the blessings of His household, most of all the blessing of knowing Him. God allows us to know and "possess" Him, having surrendered Himself totally to us on the cross! We can now say with confidence, "I am My Beloved's and He is mine."

May the Holy Spirit quicken the knowledge of these truths to your hearts this holiday season. He is in you, and you are in Him, forever! No greater gift can be given!

UPDATE AND END-OF-YEAR GIVING

Thank you to all who have supported His Inscriptions this year! Through your partnership, we have reached people around the world with life-giving words of truth and powerful prophetic words. The blog, a new podcast (did you know we're on Spotify?)  and even a YouTube channel are engaging believers who want to grow their relationship with God. I am so grateful!

Last night, I also finished teaching the Fall "E3" Prophetic Mentoring Course. We have trained a total of over 20 people in prayer and biblical prophetic ministry over the past few years. Wow! (Click here for more details on the course).

I am most excited to tell you that His Inscriptions has raised over $550 in donations over the last two months which will benefit youth in America (through DOVE International Youth Ministry) and children in the Dominican Republic (through Love Unconditional Mission). If you would like to sow into this special effort, which sends Bibles to children and strengthens struggling youth, please make a year-end donation before December 31st! 50% of all donations to this ministry by the end of the year will be given to support these two missions.

I am amazed at what God has done in the five short years since I started His Inscriptions. Knowing God through prayer has changed my life, and I am passionate about seeing Him change many more lives as well! Please continue to pray for this ministry to grow and expand as God leads.

Blessings to each of you this season!

In Him,
Deborah
