Dear Friends, Merry Christmas! I am reflecting back on 2020 today, realizing that despite all that has happened, God has been very much on the move! He has expanded the ministry of His Inscriptions this year in three essential ways: through partnership, publishing, and prayer. PARTNERSHIPAt the beginning of 2020, through your generosity, His Inscriptions was able to send significant donations to two ministries. We impacted youth through DOVE International Missions, sowing a financial seed and believing for revival in the next generation. Although most of DOVE's international missions were cancelled this year, the youth were still impacted as they gathered for a conference in January and then sent teams out to share their testimonies in Pennsylvania and New England this summer. I am continuing to sow into DOVE's youth as God leads and invite you to join me with faith for a harvest! We also sent both Spanish and Bilingual Bibles to the Dominican Republic through Love Unconditional, a New-England-based ministry run by good friends I have known for many years. They reach out to orphans and children, educating them, feeding them daily, and teaching them the gospel. In a time when Dominican borders were closing and we wondered if such a shipment would even be possible, God made a way for His Word to reach these kids! Hallelujah! In February, I had the privilege of ministering with a prophetic team at the "222" Conference with Gail Johnson of In His Image Ministries in Rhode Island. This led to a second visit to Gail's church during the summer, where she hosted a "Waves of Glory" conference outdoors. (Pictures below.) Our focus was to pray specifically for reconciliation with Native American Indians and for revival in Rhode Island and the New England region. More than any other year I have been in ministry, I have seen such an expansion in the prayer movement, with literally thousands praying all around America and the world, and it is so encouraging! I know many of my readers have been involved in both private and public gatherings for prayer, and I believe we are reaching a "tipping point." Every prayer we pray has an impact in heaven! (Revelation 5:8) PUBLISHINGAs ministry went almost completely digital this year, I found that His Inscriptions was uniquely positioned by God "for such a time as this." People are hungrier than ever to know God, and previous years spent building this ministry's website and publishing articles created an established resource for those who found us online. Here's a testimony from one new reader: "I just wanted to write to you and say that your latest post about sowing and knowing the Word of God was so in line with what I've been hearing from Him. I just kept saying "yes!" as I read through all the things God gave you to say. Thank you for your word- it was a blessing to me and I take it to heart!" 2021 will mark the seventh year that I have been writing and publishing articles weekly as God leads. These posts are touching people around the world! Early in 2020, I was also blessed to have Spirit Fuel begin re-publishing some of the prophetic words from His Inscriptions, which significantly increased the number of people we reached. God is so good! Some of you have discovered our posts in a new format: podcasts! I am experimenting with this new-to-me audio format for some of my posts on Anchor, which reaches listeners on Apple and Spotify, and would love to hear from you about whether you are enjoying these. PRAYERIn September we focused on "The Return" prayer and repentance movement, to pray for our nation and the elections. Some His Inscriptions friends joined me for a gathering that day at Indian Lake Church in Worcester, MA, and we had an amazing, Spirit-filled meeting! Finally, as the pandemic grew worse, travel and gatherings became next to impossible and ministry shifted almost exclusively online. For someone who is a very "pastoral" prophet, this was a hard shift for me, to not be "in the room" with people! Again, God stepped in, opening up new relationships with individuals outside of this region who have already become very dear to me as friends and leaders of their own ministry networks. There is no limit to the Spirit of God, and prayer is possible in any situation, anywhere! This difficult time has led people to reach out to His Inscriptions with more prayer requests, and we are praying for each one. BY FAITH we have all learned to reach out to each other, connecting virtually and seeing God continue to heal, transform, and empower us. This year's trials, which were designed by the enemy to weaken us, have actually INCREASED faith and brought us to a deeper place of rest in Christ, which is very welcome! Finally, December 20th marked an 11-month anniversary of the day the tangible glory of God entered my home. (To see the beginning of that story, click here). Those who read His Inscriptions regularly know that the Lord literally "wrecked" me for the ordinary through this extended visitation! While I have had many powerful encounters with the Lord through the years, I can honestly say this is the longest "prayer retreat" I have ever experienced! Our spirits need to experience God as much as our minds long to understand Him. Sadly, the experience of a personal God is often lacking in traditional churches. We know from the Bible that God is the "Father of spirits." (Hebrews 12:9. ) Jesus, His Son, is described as a "life-giving Spirit." (1 Corinthians 15:45.) We know that the Word and the Spirit work together to bring believers to the Father; we are designed not only to know ABOUT God, but to know Him intimately and experientially as well! This is why I continue to share His Inscriptions with readers: because the experiences God gives us in the Spirit merit testimonies that help the mind understand more about Him! I have received and treasure your testimonies this year saying how helpful, timely, or confirming these messages have been for you. I'm praying that every post published will cause you to have your mind renewed and your heart transformed by the One we are blessed to experience! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your families! Thank you for your partnership and your prayers. IN HIM we are so blessed! And you are so loved. ~Deborah |
