Dear Friends, Is it possible to love someone you have not seen? Absolutely! 1 John 4:11 reads: Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. We love God - sight unseen - because we have seen His love expressed in each other. As I shared in this testimony last week, I came to believe in the love of God because I saw His love working through other people. I am so grateful for that love, which transformed my life and now is transforming the lives of others as well! I feel the same way about you. His Inscriptions readers hail from around the globe: after America, our second-highest readership is from Nigeria, followed by South Africa, then Kenya, India, and the Philippines! I have not met all of you, but you are a diverse and beautiful reflection of the Body of Christ. I love you and pray for each of you regularly. I also get to hear from you, and love reading your comments: "Thank you so much for your blessed news and teachings... I and my wife are sharing these precious Spirit-filled words with our churches and Gospel teams and reaching our people in (nation). Please share more." "Thank you for your messages. They often adjust my focus and bring hope." "I really appreciate your openness and being so real..." "Beautifully written... from the heart of a Father to the 'pen of a skillful writer.'" This Thanksgiving, I want you to know I am grateful for you, my extended family in the Body of Christ, and to God for the opportunity to share with you! I consider it an honor to hear your hearts, co-labor with you in prayer, and seek God together for personal and corporate revival. I pray you will enjoy this holiday with family and friends, and take time to enter into the rest of the Lord, which is the source of your strength! (Isaiah 30:15) If you will be in the New England area and would like to worship God with me this weekend, I will be speaking at Indian Lake Church in Worcester, MA and would love to see you! Details are below. What are you grateful for this year? How has God answered your prayers or shown you His love? Please connect with me here and let me know! Happy Thanksgiving, Deborah |
