This week, instead of my usual blog post, the Lord asked me to share a special announcement with you concerning this ministry. Please indulge me as I try to sum up in a short letter what God has been saying in the past few weeks! I believe this vision will inspire you - and perhaps confirm some things He might be saying to you, as well. In prayer, I kept seeing blueprints, and the frame of a house. The Lord was showing me the structure of His Inscriptions, and saying that in its present form, it is too small. It is like a shack compared to the house He wants to build for His Presence! Numerous scriptures came to mind, especially Isaiah 54:2: Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes, for you will spread out to the right and to the left... I confess I was not seeking expansion; I am very comfortable with the weekly writing and daily connections God has been giving me. But the voice of God was unmistakable here, and this was just the beginning. Those of you who read my blog or follow me on social media know that in the past few weeks, the Lord has been speaking about raising our expectations. God has said He expects us to meet His expectations, not the other way around! The reason for this is because most of the time, we limit God. What we expect Him to do is too small, too paltry in comparison to the things He has planned! He wants us to experience things that are better, greater than what we could ask or imagine. When we are partners with the God of the universe, why should we work from the blueprints of a lesser dream? The Lord is asking me to let Him show us the bigger dreams He has for His Inscriptions. When we pray and act on God's blueprints, they become our new realities. In order to do this, we must stretch. I saw a vision of a toddler, reaching up to try to see and take what is on God's table. God's blueprints are within reach, but it will require me to stretch well beyond my comfort zone. Just a few days after I heard the Lord asking me to raise my expectations to His level, I received an email from one of my friends, a longtime prayer warrior who is part of the His Inscriptions community. She lives in a nearby New England state, and asked me to come visit her. So I drove the two hours to her lovely home and we spent the better part of a day talking and catching up. In the middle of our conversation, this dear friend made a comment that surprised me. "You don't have a way for people to donate to His Inscriptions, and I would like to give to your ministry. How are you planning to grow the ministry if people cannot support what God is doing through you?" Stunned, I stated candidly that for lack of support, I have been working full time for almost two years without pay, believing that God has called me to minister, and nurturing His Inscriptions with prayer and covering all expenses through my own personal investments. To date, I have not had the resources to file for tax-exempt status, although it would be wonderful to be able to offer a way for people to give! This sweet supporter showed me that God has already put it in peoples' hearts to give. She is willing to help establish His Inscriptions as a 501c3 (tax-exempt) ministry, as I move forward with the plans God has given me. She did not know at the time that her desire to give was confirming what God had already spoken to me about growing His Inscriptions! Wow! It is time to prepare for greater things! As I begin the process of incorporating His Inscriptions and then filing for 501c3 status, I ask for your prayers. One of the most important changes to this ministry is that I want to raise up a team of prayer warriors who will cover me and His Inscriptions as we move forward. If God has given you a heart to pray for this ministry and you would like to be part of the prayer team, please contact me for details. It would be an honor to have you "on board" as we grow!
