We can be sure that God celebrates the birth of His Son just as we do! (See Luke 2:8-15). Yet in the busyness of our preparations and the challenges of our relationships, we can become overwhelmed. The Lord gave me a picture recently that has helped me to find peace in the midst of this busy time. I pray it will be a gift to you, too! Merry Christmas.
"Do not yield to the pressures of the season. Allow Me to gently walk you through these days, as a Father would help a small child wade through the waters of a pool. For the waters are not deep, but they are deeper to you than to Me! What feels overwhelming to a child is less threatening to Me. What could affect your stability - or even pull you under - does not have that effect on Me, because I am stronger and taller. Hold my hand, child, and let us wade through this pool together so that you may enjoy the coolness and refreshment of the waters instead of being overcome by them. You will find there is peace - not just on the other side, but in the midst of the water, as you learn, step by step, to walk with Me."
