Dear Friends,
One of the reasons why prophetic ministry is so essential to the church today is that only words sourced in the Spirit of God achieve the purposes of God. Scripture supports prophecy, and all good prophecy is founded upon Scripture: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of Hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6) God must have a prophetic people through whom He can work effectively, lest He violate His own Word. For this reason, the Holy Spirit was poured out on all believers at Pentecost. Human reasoning is incapable of transformation. The mind of Christ must be accessed through faith, which is spiritual and relational trust, to tear down doctrines of demons and strongholds of deceit. We know the mind of Christ through the wisdom and teaching of the Holy Spirit. Revelatory words from God’s throne penetrate darkness and unlock secrets, bringing total transformation. Prophecy, like truth, may pierce the heart at first, but its goal is always to heal and restore relationships. In fact, one of the most beautiful applications of the prophetic is to facilitate healing. I want to share two illustrations of how healing comes through prophetic ministry. |
